Some south Charlotte residents are upset with plans to put up cellphone towers in their neighborhood.
About 100 Piper Glen residents met Thursday with Crown Castle, who wants to build four 30 foot cellphone towers in the neighborhood. Some of the towers would be put on residents’ front lawns in the public right of way. According to the city, permits for more than 80 towers were granted last year. Crown Castle plans to build cellphone towers in other parts of the city as well. This resident spoke with WBTV.
